Nous largely looks at your ability to think in a structured way, draw out key findings from data (qualitative and quantitative), and communicate insights in a clear and compelling way for clients (usually through PowerPoint or Word).

My journey at CommBank has taken me all across the Business Bank, with some of my most memorable highlights being as an Intern.

The coolest part of my job is the level of responsibility and autonomy I have in completing my work. A lot of the work I have undertaken has a direct effect on taxpayers, and my decisions are trusted and enforced.

Deloitte is full of some of the brightest minds, each with different skill sets which when combined creates a diverse and powerful team.

As a developer here at TechnologyOne, my responsibility is to cater to this need and build great products that will make our customers’ lives easier.

Don’t discount your other work experiences that aren’t corporate-based – focus on the skills they’ve given you instead, these soft skills are always transferrable and relevant.

I was only able to have the experience I had because I was flexible and was able to adapt to whatever came my way.

The construction industry was out of my comfort zone when I first started (and a little now, I’m still learning) so most of the experiences I have had here are a first for me!
